He was the cutest little animal you ever saw.  But if you tried to go near him, he would spray you with a stinky scent that made your eyes water and made you smell so bad nobody would come near you.  No wonder he wasn’t popular!  Then one day, he learned how to make a second scent.  He could still spray that stinky smell if he didn’t like you.  But if he wanted to be your friend, he sprayed a pink cloud of sweet perfume.   Meet SMELVIS, The Two-Scent Skunk.


Ernest Chambers learned everything he knows about children from two handsome sons, two beautiful daughters, three brilliant grandchildren- and Dennis The Menace.  smelvis-authorHe wrote the stage musical version of

“Dennis The Menace” and was Executive Producer of the feature film, starring Walter Matthau.  In his spare time he even wrote a few episodes of the comic strip for Dennis’s creator, Hank Ketcham.  He has had a long and successful career as Producer-Writer of many of television’s most popular series and specials including shows for stars such as Danny Kaye, Dick Van Dyke, The Smothers Brothers, Frank Sinatra, Bill Cosby, Doris Day, Carol Channing and Barry Manilow, to name a few.  His body of work has received over 50 Emmy nominations.  This is the first in a series of SMELVIS adventures.
